FAQ about the Puls-air workshop and hall heating

The key answers about technology, operation and delivery. Your question not here? Write to us.

How large may the room be?

Puls-air Standard: up to 600 m³ with very good insulation. Puls-air Plus: up to max. 1,800 m³ with good insulation, or 1,000–1,200 m³ with poor insulation.

Very well insulated halls have been built in recent years with insulating glazing, aerated concrete walls or sandwich panels. Poorly insulated halls are masonry buildings with a poor roof.

What room temperature does Puls-air achieve?

Room temperature as desired. At the same level of comfort the room temperature can be lowered by about 4 degrees, because the heat comes from below – unlike ceiling blowers, which heat from above.

Can the device run unattended?

Yes. A room thermostat built into the device switches it on and off automatically to maintain the set temperature.

What requirements must an external heating-oil tank meet?

Double-walled, with a leak indicator and a fire-protection valve.

Does the device have to be operated with the attached canister?

No. The device can be connected to an external heating-oil tank via an 8 mm copper pipe (single-line system without return flow). The tank may be up to 30 m away, with a maximum height difference of 3.5 m. The advantage of the attached canister: immediate readiness for use.

How loud is the heater?

Approx. 57 dB(A), measured in a reference room. In normally equipped workshops it sounds like a pleasant, light hum (for comparison: 60 dB corresponds roughly to a one-on-one conversation).

What is the consumption per hour?

Puls-air Standard: 1.5 l/h on the eco level, 1.9 l/h at full power. Puls-air Plus: 1.9 l/h on the eco level, 2.5 l/h at full power. The thermostat switches automatically – so do not calculate for the whole day.

How much oil does Puls-air need per heating season?

Determine your current consumption and subtract 50 % from it.

Can the device be operated with a timer?

Yes, but the timer must be connected according to our wiring diagram, because the fan needs to keep running afterwards.

Is app control possible?

App control is possible. Your local electrician should contact us about this.

How large can the rooms be that Puls-air can heat?

There are two models: Standard up to 600 m³ and Plus up to 1,800 m³ (with good insulation). For even larger spaces, two or more devices can be operated together.

How are the prices on the website to be understood? What does delivery cost?

All prices on this website are exclusive of VAT. Delivery costs are shown separately during the ordering process.

How high is the power consumption?

180 W or 0.18 kW – that corresponds to 0.18 kWh of power consumption per hour.

Can Puls-air be operated with waste oil?

No. Operating heaters under 50 kW with waste oil is prohibited. Diesel or heating oil serve as fuel.

What diameter does the exhaust pipe have?

32 × 1.5 mm wall thickness = 35 mm outer diameter.

What diameter does the copper pipe have?

8 mm outer diameter.

Where do I get the exhaust pipes?

The exhaust pipes are not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately.

What is the current delivery time?

We are happy to inform you about the current delivery time by e-mail, WhatsApp or telephone.

Filled the device incorrectly – what to do?

Bleed it in several steps: loosen the supply and return lines at the oil filter and hold them in heating oil, switch on the device and refasten the lines. Then loosen the supply line and repeat the process. If in doubt, please contact us.

What are the emission values?

NOx 25–30, CO 2–5 ppm, soot number 00.

Can it be operated with kerosene or petrol?

No. Please also do not use a diesel-petrol mixture.
